How to Make Stacked Waffle French Toast

Total Time: 45 minutes

Yields: 1 stack

Level: Intermediate

This one is for the waffle and the french toast lovers. Believe me, if you can’t pick a side just like me this recipe is just for you. It has the whole french toast taste with the whole waffle feel. This can be classified as one of those crossover breakfasts because it’s the best of both worlds.

1 bottle of Reddi Whip whipped cream

4 – 5 slices of bread

4 eggs

1 1/2 cups milk

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon salt

2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/4 cup sugar

1 thinly sliced apple

In a mixing bowl, add 4 eggs, milk, nutmeg, salt, cinnamon, sugar and beat together. Take your bread slices and cut the crusts off. Soak your bread in the egg and milk mixture for ten seconds on each side. Immediately place in a waffle maker and cook for about 3 – 5 minutes on medium to high heat on each side. When you do this for all your bread, it is time to start stacking. Place one slice of bread on a plate then four apple slices. Using your bottled whipped cream pipe a layer on top of the apples.Repeat this step until you have no slices left. It is your choice whether to garnish with honey or with syrup.
